Specific Assignments
Specific assignments undertaken by Julia include:
- preparing resident contracts and other documentation to comply with state legislation covering retirement villages and support residential facilities, as well as Commonwealth aged care legislation
- acting for various private developers and operators in the acquisition and disposal of retirement villages, supported residential facilities, aged care facilities and health facilities
- acting in the co-location of a private hospital with a public hospital
Julia is a senior partner in the corporate practice group. She has many years’ experience in commercial transactions and can effectively deal with the legal aspects of diverse transactions.
She specialises in structuring, negotiating and drafting all manner of complex or unusual commercial transactions including corporate restructures, infrastructure projects, asset sales and purchases.
Julia has an excellent record of achieving successful results for her clients. In the most recent edition of Legal Profiles, the Health group received special recognition. In its client survey, Julia was described as excelling in ‘contract negotiation and understanding of the implications of contracts’. She was also described as having a ‘knowledge of the health law system’ and as ‘very efficient and talented’.
