Senior partner Winifred Kamit has a track record working for both large corporates and government agencies. Steve Patrick, who heads the Port Moresby office, has over 14 years’ experience practising commercial, corporate and resources law in Australia, Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea.
gadens lawyers' Sydney office is a major support base for our PNG practice, particularly for project finance and energy & resources matters. Staff from both offices co-operated for client InterOil, who achieved a landmark in PNG with its opening in May 2005 of the first oil refinery in the resources-rich country.
The social responsbility program of our Sydney office, Third Dimension, extends to our Port Moresby office. We support Susu Mamas, a non-government organisation that distributes information on infant and maternal health and nutrition. In 2005 gadens lawyers co-sponsored the donation of a car to Susu Mamas, which helps Susu Mamas' workers reach new mothers across the country.
